Writing the brief

Four questions worth
answering before you send.

You don't need a full brief to start. But these four questions speed up the first reply and lead to a more useful answer.

01
What do you want people to do?

Not feel, not think. Do. Share a lens, try on a product, discover something at a location, walk through an experience. The action defines the format.

02
Who is the audience and where are they?

Are they on Snapchat or TikTok? At an event? Walking past a retail space? Online with a phone? The audience context changes the platform and the mechanic.

03
When does it need to be live?

Campaign date, event date, launch window. A deadline we can work with is more useful than "as soon as possible." Fast turnarounds are possible but they cost more and reduce iteration time.

04
What does success look like?

Impressions, shares, footfall, press coverage, a product sell-through spike. Knowing the metric changes what the experience needs to do. Different goals lead to different mechanics.

After you send the brief

What to expect
from us.

Within 48 hours
A direct reply from the studio

Not a sales sequence. One reply covering: whether the format fits the brief, a rough cost band, and any questions that would help scope it properly. If AR is the wrong format, we say so.

If useful
One short call or video chat

Optional, never forced. Some briefs are clear enough in writing. Others benefit from 20 minutes to clarify the mechanic, the audience, and the event context. Your call.

When you're ready to proceed
A scoped proposal with a fixed price

No hourly rates, no vague estimates. A scoped brief produces a fixed-price proposal with a clear deliverable list, a timeline, and payment terms. Scope changes are handled honestly as they arise.

For agencies

We work with agencies as a specialist build partner. Credited or behind the scenes, your call. Your client stays yours and we never approach them directly. The proposal is for your eyes only until you decide to share it.
